Davis Instruments 6163 Weather Station. Also referred to as the Vantage Pro 2 Plus. The flagship model in Davis line of premium weather monitoring stations. This system was refurbished by Davis at their facility in Fremont, California (receipt included with sale).
New rain cone and tipping bucket (0.01), along with anemometer, temperature and humidity sensors. Solar and UV sensors confirmed working to specifications. New inside console, and sensor suite mounting hardware.
This wireless system measures all popular variables temperature, humidity, rainfall, barometer, wind speed and direction, plus included solar radiation and UV sensors. The sensor suite (which is contained in a fan-aspirated radiation shield to increase accuracy) is mounted outside, and wirelessly transmits data to the console, which can be placed in a location you chose. The anemometer can be separated from the sensor suite and mounted high enough to clear surrounding trees or buildings, increasing the accuracy of your readings. Rain bucket is self emptying.
Additional weather information includes barometric pressure trend, heat index, dew point, time of sunrise and sunset, moon phase, forecasting icons and much more. The sensor suite is powered by solar energy, and includes a backup battery. The interior console is powered by an included AC adapter. 3 C batteries (not included) are used to maintain readings in the event you experience a power failure.
Effective wireless transmission range 1,000 feet (line-of-sight) with typical range through walls, etc. Of 200 to 400 feet.
