Meteorologischer Satz Mobile Weather Station. Vintage East German Original Wooden Case.

Wood case is scuffed and scratched. See pictures for cosmetic condition and exactly what is included in this case. I think this is a vintage German metal aneomemeter, psychrometer, barometer in the original wooden box identified as "Meteorologischer Satz" or weather station comes complete with a metal tripod. The anemometer with registered scale, temperature guages, a "Regen Veranderlich Schon" barometer made by Fischer, and other items I cant identify. The green painted box is 21 in long, 10 1/2 in wide and 5 1/2 in.

The total weight is a bit over 16 lbs. The overall condition appears VERY GOOD. The anemometer spins freely, the gauges appear in good condition, the glass thermometers are intact, the tripod opens, the hinges, locking devices and the leather strap handle all in tact.

Researching up this item it was thought to be a German RWD MB III Military vintage weather station set complete GDR East Germany. It was thought to be used to check air and ground temperatures and wind speed to determine accurate variables for launching rockets, etc. 1970s to 1980s weather station.
