Excellent Mid-century Modern Sputnik weather station made by B. Of West Germany in the late 1950's, a true iconic piece. This working scientific instrument contains a thermometer, hygrometer and barometer inside a clear plexiglass globe with brass finished metal accents topped by a tilted metal radar dish resembling a Sputnik satellite.

It stands on a removable brass base on which it rotates freely. The barometer band is marked "Made in Western Germany", and the bottom of the brass base is marked B. The underside of the base has a wall mount for hanging onto a wall if desired.

The weather station stands 8.5" tall by 5" in diameter, and weighs 1.25 lbs. The weather station is from the 1950s and is used.
