Vintage Jaeger art deco desk weather-station barometer and thermometer

  

This a beautiful art deco barometer and thermometer manufactured by Jaeger in France. It dates to around the middle of the last century. You can manually adjust the altitude, which then in turn changes the pressure reading, so it stays accurate if you go higher than sea level.

The thermometer does work - it will go up and down with temperature. However, it seems to always be around 4C higher than it should be.
